Continued Partnership with Matras Recycling with the Supply of New Self-Loading Trailers

26 Sep 2024

We are delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Matras Recycling Europe with the supply of several new self-loading trailers. MRE, who are based in Apeldoorn, Netherlands have been using self-loading compactor trailers for many years now and are able to transport incredible volumes of recyclable mattresses per load. This collaboration with BMI Trailers, further supports Matras Recycling’s mission to become one of the largest mattress recycling specialists across Europe.

This latest project involves the delivery of two additional MTT compactor self-loading trailers which will enable Matras to continue their transportation of high volumes of mattresses to their processing centres. Once there, an impressive array of up to 34 different materials are separated and salvaged for reuse, significantly reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

Brendan McIlvanna, Managing Director of BMI Trailers states, “We are very appreciative of Matras Recycling’s continued support over the years, and we are proud to contribute to their success by providing innovative equipment that enhances their operational capabilities and helps them to lead the way in reprocessing used and discarded mattresses across Europe.”

Ruud Kortink from Matras Recycling Europe is delighted with the products and services provided by BMI Trailers: “We are extremely pleased with the performance and reliability of BMI Trailers. Their MTT compactor trailers have become a crucial part of our collection and dismantling operations, allowing us to maximise the efficiency of our recycling process. The continued support and quality service from BMI are invaluable as we expand our efforts to set new standards in mattress recycling across Europe.”

Our innovative ejector trailers are currently in use across a range sectors. Their high quality, safety features and versatility are not only suitable for transporting a wide range of waste materials but also agricultural and construction materials. Their robust design allows them to handle heavy and bulky loads with ease.

With these additional trailers, Matras Recycling Europe is set to further solidify its position as the leading force in mattress recycling, demonstrating the potential of advanced technology and strategic partnerships to drive environmental progress.
