The Made in Northern Ireland awards recognise and reward manufacturing companies based in Northern Ireland that have demonstrated success in innovation, product development, and growth in either domestic or overseas markets.

At bmi trailers one of the key factors of our success is our continual investment in innovation and a willingness to embrace new technologies, A huge manufacturing project for us this year was the production of the largest tipping trailer in the world that we exported to Denmark. This 4-axle tipper trailer as opposed to the conventional 3-axle began its life as a brainstorming idea back in late 2017 and finally made its way to manufacture in 2019 following extensive design and trials. On top of the innovative body design, the trailer is loaded with the latest in trailer technology to improve performance and maximize the customer’s profit.

Established in 1999, bmi trailers is the longest established manufacturer in the UK and Europe of bulk waste transfer trailers including waste ejector, tipping trailers and walking floor trailers. For over 20 years, bmi trailers have designed, manufactured, and commissioned high spec trailers. We lead the way with innovative new designs on trailers, sheeting systems, and waste compaction vehicle equipment.
