Regional Salesperson

Position Title: Regional Salesperson 
Reports To: Sales Manager 
Location: South East England – London and surrounding areas 
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role

Overview:

Bmi is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Salesperson to join our established sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling trailers across a designated region, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves both new business development and account management, with a focus on expanding our market share and increasing sales in our sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities within the assigned region.
  • Generate new business by prospecting and cold-calling potential customers.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients if required.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and meet sales targets.
  • Manage the complete sales process from initial contact to post-sale follow- up.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Track sales performance and report on key metrics, as agreed by the Sales Manager.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Operations teams to align with production on lead times.
  • Coordinate with the Aftersales team to ensure that customer satisfaction and after-sales requirements are met.
  • Liaise with the Accounts team in understanding customer credit terms.
  • Attend quarterly face to face sales meetings at headquarters in Northern Ireland, providing positive contribution.

Product Knowledge & Training:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our trailers’ products, features, and specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry innovations and customer needs.
  • Attend relevant training programs and trade events to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

  • Experience selling trailers or similar products is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for sales.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel within the region.

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based commission structure.
