We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods to meet our operational needs.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per year dependant on experience
Work Location:

The Role
- Negotiate with suppliers to source and achieve the best possible price for parts, materials, goods and services ensuring purchases align with the company’s needs and budget.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Utilise supply chain management techniques to optimise procurement processes while searching for solutions to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with internal departments across the business to identify procurement needs.
- Monitor inventory and manage stock levels to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role with manufacturing or engineering background (2+ years’ experience preferred).
- Demonstratable experience of excellent negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Experience in the use of ERP systems preferred (experience of EFACS system is advantageous).
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
